Some features of ecology city Severo-Kurilsk during amplification of fumaroles activity (Paramushir isl., Kuril islands) from January 2005

Abstract

The city of Severo-Kurilsk is located at bottom of a working Ebeko volcano. The volcanic gases represent real danger to the city dwellers not only during eruption of a volcano, but also at amplification of fumaroles activity. On an example of last events connected to strengthening of fumaroles activity, observed since January, 2005, the factors promoting pollution of air pool of city are considered.
