Numerous inclusions of fine grains of nonferrous (Cu, Zn, Sn, Ni, Pb, As), noble (Ag) and rare-earth (La, Ce, Nd, Pr) metals were discovered during study of polished sections of ferromanganese crust and basalts from the Belyaevsky Seamount (Sea of Japan). These metals form their own mineral phases: oxides, sulphides, sulphates, phosphides, intermetallic compounds or occur in native form. Since ore crust and basalts contain almost the same accessory metal complex it is possible to speak about common source for the latters. This source is formed probably by high-temperature postmagmatic gas-hydrothermal ore-bearing fluids.
