The disposition of the volcanic seamounts in the global morphostructures of ocean bottom on the lithosphere of different age is examined. On the base of the quantitative analyze of the lithosphere age in the moment of volcanism we are establish that the most part of ocean bottom’s volcanic seamounts are form on the oceanic crust with age less 90 m.y. The gradual reduction of volcano formation in mid-oceanic ridges by the increase of the geologic age of the spreading centers and the activation of interplate volcanism on the lithosphere an age of between 70 and 90 m.y. are revealed.
