Аннотация

Гималайско-Тибетский ороген — один из наиболее высокогорных и активных орогенов на Земле. Процессы, вызванные столкновением двух континентов, привлекли внимание множество исследователей, и за последние десятилетия накопился большой объем геолого-геофизических данных, на которых строятся модели эволюции региона. В работе представлена модель эволюции плато Тибета и сопряженных с ним горных цепей, удовлетворяющая современным представлениям о строении коры. Опорными параметрами этой модели являются данные о величинах напряжений и о закономерностях пространственного распределения главных напряжений, полученные в наших собственных тектонофизических исследованиях в изучаемом регионе, а также в других внутриконтинентальных орогенах и в зонах субдукции литосферных плит. Базисными положениями модели являются факторы длительного этапа погружения океанской литосферы Индийской плиты под Евразийский континент, метаморфические процессы в погруженном слэбе (океанской литосфере) и в литосфере континента над ним, сочетание абсолютных горизонтальных движений Евразийской и Индийской плит, мелкомасштабная конвекция в верхней мантии и вертикальные перемещения вещества, как в самой континентальной литосфере, так и верхней мантии.
