Uzon caldera

Northwestern part of the Uzon-Geysernaia caldera commonly referred to as Uzon caldera. Its western rim cuts old Uzon volcano (at the left). The Uzon caldera hosts a large geothermal field and numerous hot and cold lakes. The largest lake in the photo is cold Central Lake. Large Holocene landslide deposits driven from the inner walls of the caldera are seen left of the lake. An ignimbrite sheet dissected by creeks is at the far right.
