Shiveluch 

 

Upper part of the soil-pyroclastic sequence about 20.5 km southeast of Shiveluch volcano. Tephra layers record intense explosive activity of the volcano. Marked in black are the following layers: 1854, lahar deposit from the large 1854 eruption; SH1, ash from the eruption ab.250 years B.P.; SH2, ab.950 years B.P.; SHdv, ab.4100 years B.P.  KS1 is a marker ash from Ksudach volcano, ab.1800 years B.P.
