Shiveluch

 

 

 

Shiveluch volcano from SSW. This picture is taken in September 2000. We can see all the features explained in Fig.2. The main difference is the extrusive dome in the 1964 crater, which now is far larger than in 1980-ies. The dome has been growing in the crater since 1980, occasionally producing small block-and-ash flows, landslides, and minor ashfalls. Two fumaroles are seen at the eastern side of the dome.
