Opala caldera

Southern part of Opala caldera hosts large peat bogs with patches of forest. You can also encounter here high-grass communities, which are typical for Kamchatka valleys. Usually they comprise Angelica ursina, Senecio cannabifolius and Filipendula kamschatica. At this picture we can see two high plants of Angelica ursina (with white umbrella-like flowers) and Senecio cannabifolius with yellowish flowers, accompanied by Calamagrostis langsdorfii, a sort of gramineous plant.
