Tobeltsen cinder cone and lava flow


Tobeltsen cinder cone (5815'N, 16044'E, elev. 831.8 m) seen from the southeast. Its lava flow descends to the Voyampolka River valley to the left. Based on tephrochronology and radiocarbon dating, Tobeltsen cone formed ~3.5 ka BP. It is the northernmost volcanic vent among the Holocene Kamchatka volcanoes found so far.
