Tobeltsen cinder cone and lava flow

 

Tobeltsen cinder cone (58°15'N, 160°44'E, elev. 831.8 m) seen from the southeast. Its lava flow descends to the Voyampolka River valley to the left. Based on tephrochronology and radiocarbon dating, Tobeltsen cone formed ~3.5 ka BP. It is the northernmost volcanic vent among the Holocene Kamchatka volcanoes found so far.
