A chain of small lakes in the peat at the saddle between Koshelev and Kambalny volcanoes. Such an environment has been typical for this place since ab.6000 14C years BP, that favoured a good preservation of thin ash layers from distal sources buried in peat or lacustrine deposits (see next image).
