Iliinsky

Northern inner wall of the 1901 crater at the eastern slope of Iliinsky volcano. The crater exposes the erupted products from Iliinsky: the lava flow at the right is overlain by white pumice (ZLT), dated at 4850 14C yr BP, and younger tephras. The upper stratified package of tephra is from the 1901 phreatic eruption. At the background, a blue lake separates thick andesitic lava flow (ab.2000 yr BP) at the left and a rim of the early Holocene collapse crater enclosing Iliinsky volcano - at the right.
