Bakening region, Kostakan cinder cones

Cinder cones of Pad' ("Valley") Kostakan south of Bakening volcano. Kostakan cinder cone surrounded by its lava flow, is in the middle of the photo. This cone was formed about 600 years B.P. Its lava flows dammed a small river to form a beautifil lake. Two small Early Holocene cones covered with dense bushes are right of the lake. Some more Holocene cones and maars are located behind the tall Pleistocene cone at the background. Fog is coming along the Srednyaya ("Middle") Avacha river valley.
