Novo-Bakening

 

 

 

 

Early Holocene monogenetic Novo-Bakening volcano (at the right) and its western lava flow. The lava flow, composed of andesite and dacite, is about 5 km long at a maximum width of about 1.5 km. Frontal scarp is 100-110 m high. Volume of this western lava flow is estimated at 0.1 km3. Kamchatka River valley is at the background.
