(11) Volcanic Activity Summary: | A moderate gas-steam activity of the volcano continues. Satellite data by KVERT showed the volcano was quiet or obscured by clouds in March-November, 2016. Last moderate ash explosions were observed on February, 2016, and resuspended ash plumes were noted on 07-08 October, 2016; sometimes a weak thermal anomaly was detecting over the volcano. KVERT continues to monitor Karymsky volcano. A moderate gas-steam activity of the volcano continues. Ongoing activity could affect low-flying aircraft. |
