(11) Volcanic Activity Summary: | Zhupanovsky volcano was quiet after the explosions on November 20, 2016. Satellite data by KVERT showed the volcano was quiet since that time. KVERT continues to monitor Zhupanovsky volcano. Weak fumarole activity of the volcano continues. Unexpected ash explosions up to 19,700-26,240 ft (6-8 km) a.s.l. could occur at any time. Ongoing activity could affect international and low-flying aircraft. |
